Waes’hal, Wassail all over the town! Join us in a great English tradition this January as we once again bless the Sandford Orchards.
On Saturday 22 January we will be processing through the village of Sandford and blessing the orchards with cider and song in thanks for this years harvest and hope for the next crop.
The main event will begin around 6.30pm where the village will gather in The Square where Exeter Morris Men will lead the crowd in traditional song and dance and the wassail king and queen will be found. Once in the orchards you can enjoy the wassail ceremony itself , blessing the apple trees!
